Giannis Antetokounmpo (born December 6, 1994) is a Greek basketball player of Nigerian descent who belongs to the NBA Milwaukee Bucks squad.
Antetokounmpo was born in Athens, Greece, and is the son of Nigerian immigrants residing in Greece. Despite this, he does not have Nigerian citizenship.
Giannis and his family officially gained full Greek citizenship on May 9, 2013, with the official legal spelling of their name being Antetokounmpo.
