Russell Westbrook III (Long Beach, California, November 12, 1988) is an American basketball player who plays in the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder after being selected by the now-defunct Seattle SuperSonics in the 2008 draft.

He also broke the record of more triple-doubles in a season by getting 42. Until then it was 41 that Robertson had also set.
In the 2017-18 season, he became the first player in NBA history to achieve a triple-double against each of the 29 opposing teams.
On April 2, 2019, he became the second NBA player to achieve a triple “double” with 20 points, 20 rebounds and 21 assists in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers, joining Wilt Chamberlain in 1968 with 22 points, 25 rebounds and 21 assists.
In 2018-19, Russell repeated the feat and averaged triple-double throughout the season, achieving this for the third consecutive year.
